About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Service Attendant to join our team at Labrador Donut Ltd. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our food service counter.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
    • Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas to ensure a seamless customer experience.
    • Keep accurate records of the quantities of food used to inform inventory management and minimize waste.
    • Package take-out food to meet customer expectations and ensure timely delivery.
    • Portion and wrap foods to the correct specifications and presentation standards.
    • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to meet customer demands and preferences.
    • Stock refrigerators and salad bars to maintain a well-stocked and organized food service area.
  • Customer Service
    • Take customers' orders accurately and efficiently to meet their needs and preferences.
    • Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs to the required standards.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience
    • Operate conventional ovens to prepare food items to the required standards.
    • Use electronic cash registers to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
    • Operate food dispensers to maintain a well-stocked and organized food service area.
    • Use grills to prepare food items to the required standards.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
    • Work in a fast-paced environment to meet customer demands and expectations.
  • Personal Suitability
    • Demonstrate a client-focused approach to customer service to meet customer needs and expectations.
    • Develop efficient interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
    • Display reliability and a strong work ethic to meet the demands of the role.
    • Work collaboratively as a team player to achieve common goals and objectives.
    • Work a permanent schedule with 80 to 85 hours bi-weekly.
    • Communicate effectively in English to meet the needs of customers and colleagues.
