Senior Technical Program Manager, Regional Flexibility Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Program Manager to join our Regional Flexibility Engineering team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in enabling Amazon businesses to leverage new AWS regions and improve the efficiency and scale of our business.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of planning and delivering complex programs with multi-year roadmaps, using Agile and incremental delivery methods. You will have experience driving architectural change across thousands of teams and handling communication from technical developers to senior VPs.
Key Responsibilities- Define and drive Region Flexibility initiatives to enable Amazon businesses to operate across multiple AWS regions.
- Guide teams in auto-creating deployment infrastructure, enabling traffic movement across regions, and adding observability for the best customer experience, service availability, cost-efficiency, and compliance.
- Work with AWS technologies to optimize deliveries with ROI in mind and directly influence product design and user experience.
- Identify risks and opportunities in technical strategies and develop plans to address them.
- Create execution plans, coordinating implementation across organizations, monitoring progress, and ensuring program success.
The Regional Flexibility Engineering organization supports the rapid global expansion of Amazon's infrastructure. Our projects support Amazon businesses like Stores, Alexa, Kindle, and Prime Video. We drive adoption of ever-evolving and cutting-edge AWS and non-AWS technologies, and work closely with AWS teams to improve AWS public offerings.
Requirements- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience.
- 3+ years of software development experience.
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience.
- Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience.
- Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules.
- Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
