About the Role

The Aquatics Supervisor plays a vital role in delivering high-quality leisure programs and services to Canadian Armed Forces members and their families. This position requires a strong focus on ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests, while also providing a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and administer all activities at the swimming pool to provide quality swimming programs and services.
  • Train staff, suggest new programs, and problem-solve to ensure the success of the aquatics program.
  • Mentor staff and help them develop into strong lifeguards, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Perform lifeguard duties and teach swimming lessons, staying up-to-date with the latest techniques and best practices.
Requirements
  • College diploma or certificate in Physical Sciences or a related field, with some years of experience in aquatics or a related field.
  • Current CPR and Standard First Aid certification, as well as National Lifeguard Service (NLS) and recognized Swim Instructor certification.
  • High FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development or HIGH FIVE Sport, and HIGH FIVE Healthy Minds for Healthy Children certifications.
  • Experience in evaluating, planning, preparing, organizing, and conducting the delivery of aquatic programs, instructing training sessions, and supervising the work of volunteers.
  • Strong observational, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Language Requirements

English is essential, with bilingualism (English and French) being an asset. Reading, writing, and oral communication skills are required at a functional level.
