Your Role:

As an Aerospace Manufacturing Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting the operational needs of military aircraft programs. Your responsibilities will include managing Tool Control and ensuring that aircraft Support and Test Equipment (STE) is maintained in optimal condition for use by military technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

This position involves alternating shifts and encompasses daily repair and maintenance tasks, as well as training military personnel on the proper use of tools and STE. You will utilize specialized software to document transactions, conduct inspections, and support deployment efforts while adhering to established procedures.

Your primary duties will include:

Core Functions: (50%)

  • Document the issuance and return of STE to military technicians using specialized software;
  • Inspect and maintain tool kits and servicing boards as necessary;
  • Conduct inventory counts and report discrepancies to management;
  • Operate laser engraving equipment using design software;
  • Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment;
  • Adhere to all safety and security protocols;
  • Perform all tasks with a focus on safety;
  • Report any unsafe conditions to management promptly;
  • Ensure compliance with internal operational procedures;
  • Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders;
  • Address any concerns raised by military maintenance personnel;
  • Fulfill on-call duties as assigned.

Additional Functions: (15%)

  • Deliver training on Tool Control and related software to military technicians;
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of processes as part of our continuous improvement initiatives.

Support Functions: (35%)

  • Assist with group projects as directed by management;
  • Conduct visual inspections of STE.

Candidate Profile:

  • Post-secondary education in aviation or a related field is preferred;
  • Two to five years of relevant experience in equipment maintenance or mechanical repair;
  • Ability to perform visual inspections of mechanical tools and calibrated equipment;
  • Proficient in Excel at an intermediate level;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks;
  • Reliable team player with a strong work ethic;
  • Customer-focused and organized;
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
  • Proactive in suggesting improvements to processes;
  • Quick learner with proficiency in new software applications;
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed;
  • Valid driver's license is required.

Operational Requirements:

  • Availability for alternating day and evening shifts;
  • Eligibility for registration in the Controlled Goods Program;
  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances.
