Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Construction Equipment Technician to join our team at LANSDOWNE EXCAVATION LIMITED. This role requires a strong background in heavy machinery maintenance and repair.

  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the field.

Work Setting

Work will be conducted at various locations, requiring flexibility and adaptability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guide and mentor apprentices in the field.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot machinery to identify issues.
  • Utilize computerized testing equipment to assess repair needs.
  • Manage inventory and order necessary parts.
  • Adjust machinery and replace defective components as needed.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
  • Conduct performance tests on repaired equipment to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubrication.
  • Service attachments and tools used in operations.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Capability to bend, crouch, and kneel as required.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Experience handling heavy loads.
  • Willingness to work overtime as necessary.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
