Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
  • Order parts and maintain inventory
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
  • Service attachments and working tools
  • Perform other routine maintenance
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair
  • No degree, certificate or diploma required
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently
Work Environment:

As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be working outdoors in various locations, including construction sites and equipment yards. You will be required to work in a physically demanding environment, lifting heavy loads and working in various weather conditions.
