Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Lansdowne Excavation Limited. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our heavy equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and Inspect Equipment

You will be responsible for identifying and diagnosing faults and malfunctions in our heavy equipment, using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.

Repair and Maintain Equipment

You will be responsible for adjusting and repairing or replacing defective parts, as well as performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and testing equipment.

Order Parts and Maintain Inventory

You will be responsible for ordering parts and maintaining inventory levels to ensure that our equipment is properly maintained and repaired in a timely manner.

Document Maintenance Activities

You will be responsible for keeping accurate records of maintenance activities, including maintenance reports and documentation.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

A minimum of 3 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair is required. A degree or certificate in a related field is an asset.

Work Environment

You will be working in a fast-paced outdoor environment, with exposure to various weather conditions and physical demands.

Physical Demands

The position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team environment.

Language

English is the primary language of communication in this role.
