About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at Verdi Structures Inc. as a key member of our estimating department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects
  • Analyze blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements and develop cost estimates
  • Operate computer-aided design (CAD) software and other estimating tools to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Develop and maintain a directory of suppliers and trade contractors
  • Liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to negotiate and finalize cost estimates
  • Monitor and adjust contract expenditures to ensure project profitability
  • Collaborate with the project management team to develop and implement cost-saving strategies
Requirements
  • College or CEGEP diploma in a related field (e.g. construction management, engineering, architecture)
  • 3-5 years of experience in construction estimating or a related field
  • Proficiency in CAD software and estimating packages
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
