Currently, we are seeking an experienced and talented ICI Estimator (Industrial, Commercial, Institutional) to join our team and contribute to our continued growth and success.

As an ICI Estimator, you will play a key role in our pre-construction process by diligently performing quantity/material take-offs, soliciting subtrade pricing, and ensuring accurate and comprehensive estimates for bids. Your responsibilities will include assessing project risks, evaluating subtrade quotations, analyzing costs, and preparing detailed project bids. Furthermore, you will collaborate with subcontractors, owners, and consultants to develop competitive estimates and maintain effective communication throughout the estimation process. Your expertise in project budgeting, cost control, and scheduling using MS Project will be invaluable in supporting successful project execution and fostering strong client relationships.

**Duties include but are not limited to**:

- Attending pretender site meetings and conducting site investigations.
- Performing quantitative evaluation of materials, manpower, and equipment required for project estimates and bids.
- Checking estimates for accuracy and identifying any errors.
- Soliciting subtrade pricing and evaluating quotations during tendering.
- Collaborating with project subcontractors and consultants to develop detailed project bids and analysis.
- Finalizing tender forms for submittal.
- Analyzing and summarizing successful and unsuccessful tenders.
- Handling the submittal of bonding and insurance requirements.
- Communicating effectively with owners and consultants throughout the estimation process.
- Assessing and evaluating risks associated with each tendered project.
- Updating and coordinating Request for Tender and Quotation documents with subtrades.
- Utilizing MS Project to develop preliminary construction schedules.

**Requirements**:

- 5-10 years of experience as a project estimator with a GTA-based general contractor, preferably in the ICI construction sector.
- Post-secondary education in a construction-related program (quantity surveying/estimating, architectural technology, engineering technology, or equivalent).
- A professional attitude and strong client relationship-building skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and preferably experienced in MS Project.
- Advanced experience with various bidding portals and software
- Familiarity with different construction contracts, including P3, lump sum, cost reimbursable, unit price, target, and guaranteed maximum price.
- Sound knowledge of OHSA legislation, standards, and guidelines.
- Ability to perform accurate quantity takeoffs and effectively manage project budgets.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with COR (Certificate of Recognition) is an asset.

**About the Role**:
This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities in the estimation and pre-construction phase. Key tasks include visiting pre-tender site meetings and conducting site investigations, performing quantity/material take-offs, soliciting subtrade pricing, evaluating subtrade quotations, finalizing tender forms, analyzing successful and unsuccessful tenders, and communicating with owners and consultants. Additionally, the ability to develop preliminary construction schedules using MS Project is required.

**Skills and Experience**:

- 8 to 10 years of experience working as a Project Estimator in the ICI construction industry.
- Post-secondary education in a construction-related program, such as quantity surveying/estimating, architectural technology, or engineering technology.
- Professional attitude and exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Highly organized with great attention to detail.
- Solid computer skills, particularly in MS Excel.
- Proficiency in using estimating software
