Construction Cost Estimator

About the Role:
Verdi Structures Inc. is seeking a skilled Construction Cost Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our estimating department, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain knowledge of construction costs, materials, and labor rates.
- Prepare estimates of labor and/or material costs for construction projects.
- Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
- Operate CADD and other computer software systems to take off quantities and estimate costs.
- Advise on tendering procedures and monitor and adjust contract expenditures.
- Liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to communicate changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
Requirements:
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in construction cost estimation.
- Excellent knowledge of estimating software packages and AutoCAD.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment:
This is a permanent position with a 40-hour workweek. The language of work is English.
