About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Planning Manager to join our team at the City of Toronto. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive business plans that align with the City's strategic objectives.
  • Organizational Development: Design and implement organizational effectiveness initiatives to enhance employee engagement, leadership development, and cultural transformation.
  • Change Management: Lead change management efforts to drive organizational transformations and ensure smooth transitions.
  • Communication: Develop and execute communication plans to ensure effective stakeholder engagement and employee buy-in.
  • Performance Management: Provide guidance on performance appraisal processes and facilitate the creation of development plans.
  • Training and Development: Support the procurement of training programs and create a training strategy through needs assessments and feedback mechanisms.
  • Leadership Development: Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee satisfaction and retention, and facilitate employee surveys and focus groups to gather insights and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications preferred.
  • Experience: Extensive experience in organizational development, human resources, or a related field with a proven track record in designing and implementing organizational effectiveness initiatives.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in data analysis and reporting. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.).
