Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Clerk to join our team at Fraser Health. As an Administrative Support Clerk, you will provide administrative support to our staff and clients, ensuring the smooth operation of our office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to staff and clients, including word processing, data entry, and record management.
  • Answer calls, receive and direct visitors/clients, and respond to inquiries.
  • Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail, and operate office equipment.
  • Place purchase orders with external suppliers, and maintain petty cash and office supplies.
  • Perform staffing and timekeeping duties, including calling in relief staff and reviewing timesheets.
  • Process service authorizations, and perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Grade 12, Office Administration Certificate, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One year's recent, related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of general office procedures, medical terminology, and business writing skills.
  • Ability to type at 45 wpm, communicate effectively, and establish and maintain rapport with clients.
  • Ability to work independently and in cooperation with others, and prioritize tasks effectively.
