CB Canada is seeking an experienced IT Software Asset Management Specialist to join our team. As an IT Software Asset Management Specialist, you will be responsible for managing software assets throughout their entire lifecycle, ensuring effective governance and adherence to asset management processes and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Software Asset Management: Manage software assets through their entire lifecycle, including tracking, coordination, and compliance monitoring activities.
- Asset Tracking and Coordination: Perform asset tracking and coordination of internal controls and compliance monitoring activities to ensure accurate and up-to-date asset inventories.
- Effective Governance: Provide effective governance to ensure asset management processes and procedures are effectively being adhered to by internal teams and service partners.
- Vendor Management: Participate in the evaluation of products, service offerings, and contracts, and oversee day-to-day interactions with vendors to meet business needs.
- Licensing and Compliance: Obtain information and clarification on licensing, product changes, costing, and invoicing, and communicate and facilitate any such changes.
- Inventory Management: Ensure that asset inventories and IT tools are updated, and orders are tracked for internal and external billing purposes.
- License Entitlements: Ensure the overall tracking of software license entitlements and evidence, based on software orders.
- Inventory Data Cleanup: Conduct inventory data cleanup, evergreening/decommissioning activities as required.
- Process Optimization: Actively participate in the creation and optimization of standard operating procedures, processes, guidelines, and documentation for all asset management processes.
- Collaboration and Support: Provide support and expertise while working closely with internal and external team members on related project work.
- Analytics and Reporting: Develop analyses and dashboards to automate asset tracking and regular reporting activities.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 4 years of experience in end-user software asset management or IT/Cloud infrastructure or equivalent experience.
- Skills: Good working knowledge and understanding of software licensing with major vendors, experience working with users from a customer service perspective, good interpersonal and communication skills, result-oriented with strong planning and organizational skills, ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Nice to Have Skills: Bilingualism, experience with SAM tool configuration, asset management certification.
Assignment start date: ASAP - 12 months to start.
Assignment location: Toronto, ON - Work Hybrid.
