The Role
We are seeking an experienced Building Automation Systems Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Servicing and maintaining Building Automation Systems (BAS) in client facilities
- Attending client sites to complete service and preventative maintenance tasks
- Programming and downloading/installing BAS-related hardware and software
- Creating custom graphical user interfaces
- Implementing energy and operational optimization initiatives
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proven BAS knowledge and experience with Niagara
- Over five years of experience in the provision of BAS programming, graphics development, integration, commissioning, and client training
- Proven Niagara experience, N4 Certified is an asset
- Proficiency with HVAC systems
- Knowledge of IT and networks would be an asset
- Intuitive ability to diagnose research and rectify programming, commissioning and integration issues
- Ability to learn and utilize various BAS computer software(s)
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy

- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal relationship skills
- Good writing and verbal communication skills
- Completed courses related to BAS and HVAC
- A technologist or engineering degree is an asset
- Valid Driver's License
