Job Summary
BGIS ITS Canada Ltd., a division of BGIS, is seeking an experienced Building Automation System Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing and maintaining Building Automation Systems (BAS) in client facilities, attending client sites to complete service and preventive maintenance tasks, programming and installing BAS-related hardware and software, creating custom graphical user interfaces, and implementing energy and operational optimization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Proven BAS knowledge and experience with Niagara systems.
- Over five years of experience in BAS programming, graphics development, integration, commissioning, and client training.
- Proven Niagara experience, N4 Certified is an asset.
- Proficiency with HVAC systems.
- Knowledge of IT and networks would be an asset.
- Intuitive ability to diagnose, research, and rectify programming, commissioning, and integration issues.
- Ability to learn and utilize various BAS computer software.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
Requirements
- Self-motivated and willing to learn.
- Ability to work well independently and as a team player.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal relationship skills.
- Good writing and verbal communication skills.
- Completed courses related to BAS and HVAC.
- A technologist or engineering degree is an asset.
- Valid Driver's License.
