Produce Department Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Produce Department Manager to join our team at Farm Boy Inc. As a key member of our produce department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer service and product quality.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service and support to our customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Produce Operations: Oversee the preparation, packaging, pricing, rotation, and quality standards of produce, ensuring a high level of quality and freshness.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the management team, including recording of shrink, supply inventory, and orders.
- Housekeeping and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including equipment maintenance and sanitizing, sweeping, and mopping.
- Leadership and Training: Lead by example, promoting corporate policies, customer service standards, departmental cleanliness, and opening and closing procedures. Assist, relieve, and train department personnel as requested by the management team.
- Compliance: Comply with all corporate policies, especially those related to Health and Safety, Food Safety, and equipment use.
- Education and Experience: Typically requires completion of a post-secondary program, plus a minimum of 1 year of progressively responsible supervisory or management experience in a similar role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Skills and Abilities: Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Clear and effective communication style, both written and oral. Good judgment and decision-making abilities while communicating with customers and Farm Boy team members. Ability to learn manual and automated systems/tools. Skilled at working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining priorities and a high level of performance.
- Work Environment: Required to stand and walk for long periods of time during shift. Required to lift, carry, or handle heavy objects.
