Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural EIT to join our team as a Project Engineer. As a key member of our structural engineering team, you will work on assigned projects under the guidance of a senior engineer, collaborating with other engineers and designers to ensure projects are completed within allotted schedules and budgets, and to high quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare structural engineering designs and related documents for various projects
  • Perform field reviews during various stages of projects throughout construction (e.g., rebar layout, structural steel)
  • Collaborate with structural or civil teams to assist with the development of engineering design and related documents
  • Ensure completion of work within allotted schedules and budgets to high quality standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural and registered as an EIT within the Province of British Columbia
  • 1-3 years of structural engineering experience with steel, reinforced concrete, and bridge construction engineering
  • Basic knowledge of engineering analysis and design software packages such as SAP2000, ETABS, and RISA is preferred
  • Design experience using AutoCAD 3D and 3D and ProSteel in an industrial setting is an asset
  • Technical competence and strong attention to detail
  • Experience reviewing shop drawings and responding to RFIs is considered an asset
  • Experience in the design of concrete, steel, and timber structures is desired and considered an asset
  • Experience supporting the delivery of projects on schedule, on budget, in scope, at the required quality, and achieving client satisfaction
  • Excellent communication skills (interpersonal and written)
  • Proven ability to interact with clients and to collaborate with team members in a multi-disciplined environment
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision
