Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Structural EIT to join our team as a Project Engineer. As a key member of our structural engineering team, you will work on assigned projects under the guidance of a senior engineer, collaborating with other engineers and designers to ensure projects are completed within allotted schedules and budgets, and to high quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of engineering designs and related documents for various projects
- Perform field reviews during various stages of projects throughout construction (ie. Rebar layout, structural steel etc.)
- Collaborate with structural or civil team, comprised of engineers, designers, project coordinators, and others, to assist with the development of engineering design and related documents
- Ensure completion of work within allotted schedules and budgets to high quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural and registered as an EIT within the Province of British Columbia
- 1-3 years of structural engineering experience with steel, reinforced concrete and bridge construction engineering
- Basic knowledge of engineering analysis and design software packages such as SAP2000, ETABS and RISA is preferred
- Design experience using AutoCAD 3D and 3D and ProSteel in an industrial setting is an asset
- Technical competence and strong attention to detail
- Experience reviewing shop drawings and responding to RFI's considered an asset
- Experience in the design of concrete, steel and timber structures is desired considered an asset
- Experience supporting the delivery of projects on schedule, on budget, in scope at the required quality and achieving client satisfaction
- Excellent communication skills (interpersonal and written)
- Proven ability to interact with clients and to collaborate with team members in a multi-disciplined environment
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision
