About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join our team at Davidson Contract Services. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet of commercial transport trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and replacements of parts and components.
  • Diagnostic and Troubleshooting: Use your technical expertise to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with our trucks.
  • Repair and Replacement: Repair or replace mechanical units or components as needed, ensuring all work is done to manufacturer specifications.
  • Estimation and Scheduling: Estimate parts and labor costs for maintenance and repairs, and schedule work accordingly.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with our maintenance team to ensure seamless execution of maintenance tasks.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Certifications: Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification.
Working Conditions

This is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and excellent communication skills. You will be working in a team environment, and must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
