Key Responsibilities
  • Safety:
    • Ensure a safe working environment by implementing and maintaining a robust Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) program.
    • Conduct regular HSE audits and identify areas for improvement.
    • Lead investigations and root cause analysis for safety incidents and near misses.
    • Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
  • Operations:
    • Oversee laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and SGS standards.
    • Develop and implement efficient work schedules and processes.
    • Coordinate external analysis and ensure timely delivery of results.
    • Establish and maintain a preventive maintenance plan for laboratory equipment.
  • Quality:
    • Ensure laboratory personnel maintain the SGS quality system, adhering to ISO standards.
    • Review operation files and key quality data, identifying areas for improvement.
    • Develop and implement corrective actions to address quality issues.
    • Monitor and enter data into SGS monitoring systems.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of management/leadership experience in the Oil, Gas, and Chemicals industry or related field.
  • Bilingual English/French.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to motivate teams and coordinate multiple activities.
  • Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
