Position Overview:
We are seeking a Director of Technical Delivery & Architecture to lead our Information Technology division. This role reports to the VP of Technical Solutions Delivery and is pivotal in providing technological leadership to address cross-domain technology issues and decisions.
The Director will be responsible for identifying and coordinating enterprise patterns for Aviso Wealth's technology framework, which encompasses Public/Private Cloud, On-Premise, and SaaS solutions. This position will also engage with various IT functional teams to tackle Data, Integration, and Security challenges across these environments while collaborating with business stakeholders to influence architectural decisions. The primary objective is to design solutions that address enterprise concerns and promote the reuse of patterns for agility, consistency, and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of skilled architects to guide the enterprise towards its strategic objectives.
- Manage a team of Technical Project Managers to ensure effective representation of Technology in corporate initiatives.
- Provide advisory and design services for critical enterprise-wide services.
- Collaborate with business lines and Technology Domain Architects to promote reuse and coherence across service providers.
- Establish and refine the Architectural Governance model aligned with the principles of reuse, automated controls, and transparency.
- Define metrics for Enterprise Architecture effectiveness.
- Demonstrate the value of Enterprise Architecture throughout the organization.
- Facilitate the agenda for the Enterprise Architecture Governance Board, which includes senior technology executives, to approve significant technology initiatives and enterprise patterns.
- Coordinate with distributed architecture and technology teams to ensure the delivery of enterprise capabilities and partner with business lines to create a comprehensive target state architecture.
Qualifications:
- Over 15 years of experience in leading architecture teams, combining managerial and technical leadership.
- Strong communication and active listening skills, with the ability to delegate effectively and make swift decisions.
- Expertise in architecture, application development, systems design, and integration.
- Experience with MS Azure and Google Cloud is preferred.
- Proven track record in both Enterprise Architecture and Product Architecture, demonstrating successful program and delivery outcomes.
- Ability to foster effective partnerships and relationships across IT, business groups, and shared services.
- Capability to influence the architecture community in establishing standards.
- Proficient in managing multiple priorities and aggressive timelines while leading initiatives forward.
- Expertise in key technology domains, including Cloud, Containers, API, Events, Security, Integration, Infrastructure, Data, and Artificial Intelligence.
- Experience in Wealth Management and/or Finance is advantageous.
- Fluent in English; bilingual skills in French are a plus.
