Job Title: Technical Director - Game Product Solutions

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Director to lead our Game Product Solutions team at Electronic Arts Inc. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and drive innovation in game production solutions.

About the Role:

The Technical Director will be responsible for leading a team of Software Engineers in the development of our Skybuild product, a critical component of our portfolio. You will work closely with the Principal Technical Director, Product Management, and stakeholders to define technical strategies, architecture, and design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a dynamic team of Leads and Individual Contributors in Build and Release, promoting an atmosphere of innovation and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with Game and Technical team members to define goals and milestones, and work with Product Management to design technical solutions that meet project requirements and schedules.
  • Use your expertise to arbitrate technical decisions for the engineering team, and articulate the WHAT, HOW, and WHY for our technology roadmaps.
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to the team, promoting an environment of learning and improvement.
  • Review completed engineering deliverables before release, ensuring that they meet our standards of quality and reliability.
  • Identify potential technical risks and manage them, implementing mitigation strategies.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years as a Software Engineer / Developer, with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Proficiency in risk management, able to identify potential issues and create mitigation strategies.
  • Comfortable working in a remote or hybrid environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in one of Computer Science (or related technical field) or equivalent practical experience.
