We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance and Business Support to join our team at AccorHotel. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and guidance to our Operations Leaders, Partners, and Department Heads to drive optimal business performance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, accounting, and business operations, with a proven track record of success in managing teams and driving financial performance. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our finance and accounting department, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, credit, systems management, cash management, food and beverage cost control, receiving, purchasing, food stores, yield management, capital planning, and budgeting.

You will also be responsible for developing and managing key relationships with our Management Committee members and their senior managers to provide financial support and understanding of short and long-term financial plans. Additionally, you will assist in the development of the business acumen of all levels of our hotel Leadership team to ensure they understand the impact of every component on the business as a whole.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise all members of the hotel Finance and Accounting Department
  • Partner with the Hotel Leaders to achieve optimal operating performance for AccorHotel and ownership returns
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures
  • Oversee all accounting and finance-related activities of the hotel
  • Develop and manage key relationships with Management Committee members and their senior managers
  • Assist in the development of the business acumen of all levels of the hotel Leadership team
  • Review financial performance of department/area, analysis of variances, forecasts, and budgets
  • Recommend and assist in the design, implementation, and use of methods and procedures that improve the accuracy of working schedules, labor standards, forecast, plans to assist operational staff
  • Provide accurate and complete financial and management reports on a timely basis to hotel management, corporate office, and owners
  • Completion of month-end duties; P&L, forecast, commentary, inventories
  • Ensure accurate and timely process of Accounts Payable and Income Audit workflow, and balance sheets accounts reconciliation
  • Recruit, train, and lead finance colleagues and foster ongoing training and development to ensure excellent service deliverables to hotel-wide colleagues and leadership team
  • Monitor employee performance through positive feedback, performance management, annual performance reviews, recognition practices, and consistent follow-up
  • Host monthly departmental communication meetings
  • Promote a safe and well-work environment with emphasis on health, safety, and work-life balance
  • All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Accounting designation, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, or a relevant field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
  • Previous experience as a hotel Director of Finance or Controller preferred
  • Progressive work-related experience in multiple areas of accounting and/or capital projects management and reporting, financial and/or business analysis, accounting, or a related area, with 5 to 7 years of progressive leadership in managing teams and/or significant complex projects
  • Superior skills in computer technology and applications. Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office required (Excel in particular). Experience with accounting systems or similar financial software for the purpose of financial reporting, analysis, and presentation
