Job Summary:

The Director of Financial Operations and Business Development is a key leadership position at Accor, responsible for providing strategic financial guidance and business support to Operations Leaders, Partners, Executive Committee, and Department Heads. This role requires a strong accounting background, excellent communication and analytical skills, and the ability to motivate and develop a team of finance professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Leadership: Supervise the Finance and Accounting Department, ensuring compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
  2. Business Support: Partner with Hotel Leaders to achieve optimal operating performance, proactively managing key performance indicators (KPIs).
  3. Financial Planning and Analysis: Oversee overall accounting and finance-related activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  4. Team Management: Recruit, train, and lead finance colleagues, fostering ongoing training and development to ensure excellent service deliverables.
  5. Communication and Reporting: Provide accurate and complete financial and management reports to hotel management, corporate office, and owners.

Qualifications:

  1. Accounting Designation: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business, Finance, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
  2. Leadership Experience: Previous experience as a hotel Director of Finance or Controller, with progressive experience in multiple areas of accounting and/or capital projects management and reporting.
  3. Technical Skills: Superior skills in computer technology and applications, with excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel in particular), and experience with accounting systems or similar financial software.
