This is a unique opportunity to join our team as a Dietitian, providing expert nutrition advice and care to patients and clients. As a member of our Nutrition and Food Services team, you will be responsible for providing leadership in team efforts to support the nutritional health of patients, including the prevention, detection, and treatment of malnutrition and medical nutrition therapy using the Nutrition Care Process.
You will work collaboratively with healthcare team providers, sharing nutrition expertise, ensuring quality and continuity of care, and supporting a range of healthcare services. These services are provided within a holistic, client-centered framework in accordance with our mission, vision, values, and strategic direction.
About YouWe are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Dietitian who possesses a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition from a recognized University and has completed a Dietetic Internship Program. You must be registered (or eligible) with the Nova Scotia College of Dietitians and Nutritionists and have a minimum of one year of working experience as a dietitian. Inpatient clinical nutrition experience is an asset, as is competency in dysphagia management, enteral and parenteral nutrition, and experience counseling patients.
You must also possess effective interpersonal and communication skills, be able to prioritize, problem-solve, and work under pressure of time limitations, and demonstrate participation in continuing education and upgrading of skills. Competencies in other languages are an asset.
Hours- Casual Relief / 3% FTE

$43.43 Hourly
