About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Care Team Assistant to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a member of our collaborative care team, you will play a vital role in providing direct, hands-on care to patients and supporting their activities of daily living.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care to patients based on their needs and the plan of care
  • Support patients' activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living
  • Reinforce patient and family teaching according to established guidelines
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure high-quality patient care

Requirements:

  • Continuing Care Assistant Program certification
  • Provincial Certification with Department of Health and Wellness
  • Current Basic Life Support Certification
  • Effective listening and communication skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
