This position is integral to the mobility finance division of Intello Technologies Inc., which provides financial guidance for internal stakeholders, primarily from the marketing and sales departments, acting as a reliable partner to facilitate ambitious business growth. We meticulously review, assess, and report monthly financial data to corporate accounting and our internal clients. Our involvement in financial forecasting activities (budgeting, monthly outlooks, and strategic checks) ensures that marketing strategies and other key initiatives are accurately represented.
The SMB sector is the most dynamic, rapidly expanding, and highest revenue-generating segment in B2B. As a Lead Financial Strategist, you will serve as a trusted financial consultant and business ally, assisting Intello leaders and their teams in achieving their objectives while adhering to financial targets. You will collaborate within a vibrant, cooperative finance team and work closely with the planning and marketing teams to influence business decision-making. In this role, you will support a swiftly growing portfolio with changing business requirements and enhance profitability by identifying revenue and cost optimization opportunities. Additionally, you will participate in special projects related to the products and clientele within the SMB sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure financial operational excellence by managing the SMB wireless financials for Revenues, KPIs, and Direct Margin P&L – specifically, you will oversee Network Revenue (>$700M annually for SMB), which involves analyzing post-COVID travel/roaming trends, maintaining adequate IOT, Mobile Phone, and tablet revenue levels, and applying precise IFRS15 accounting to allocate handset subsidies to network service revenue amortization.
- Serve as the principal analyst for SMB WLS P&L and the primary financial contact for all corporate and business inquiries, collaborating with IoT Finance/Planning and WLS Planning & Pricing teams.
- Actively support our internal clients in marketing and sales by comprehending their business challenges and opportunities.
- Lead month-end closing activities, including the analysis and recording of transactions into the SMB WLS P&L.
- Prepare monthly financial performance reports and conduct in-depth variance analyses as needed.
- Assist in coordinating the forecasting, strategic planning, and annual budgeting processes.
- Review internal workflows, propose, and implement process enhancement ideas.
- Provide financial insights for new marketing initiatives, including impact assessments, financial requirements, user acceptance testing, training for team members, and implementation.
- Manage select balance sheet account reconciliations at month-end and/or quarter-end.
- Support ad-hoc financial and operational analyses requested by senior management.
- Mentor and guide CPA students rotating through the team.
What you bring to the table
- Recognized as a self-starter willing to take initiative, adapt quickly, and drive execution to meet objectives.
- Capable of applying innovative and creative solutions to complex challenges, with a strong sense of ownership and proactive approach.
- Proven ability to manage multiple deliverables while meeting deadlines and objectives in a dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environment.
- Demonstrated experience in creating and evaluating complex financial reports.
- Acknowledged for strong business acumen and analytical problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years in a financial FP&A-type role with a record of progression and increasing responsibilities.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (BBA) or Commerce.
- Experience in the telecom or technology sector is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with SQL/data visualization tools is a plus.
Salary Range: $86,000-$130,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 15%
