Position Overview:

As a Network Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and security of Vancity's network infrastructure. Your expertise will be vital in optimizing technology and supporting our organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Expertise: Provide specialized knowledge in system design, administration, and configuration of Vancity's networking platforms. Your role will involve optimizing existing technologies and managing the technology lifecycle.
  • Network Planning: Strategically plan and implement network technologies in alignment with organizational methodologies, ensuring a stable and secure network infrastructure that meets service level objectives.
  • Platform Development: Design, document, and maintain essential network platforms, including Wide Area Networks, disaster recovery solutions, and security measures, to address daily business needs and enhance user experience.
  • Support Services: Offer second-level technology support to the IT Service Desk, ensuring adherence to service level goals and IT standards.
  • Analysis and Recommendations: Conduct thorough qualitative and quantitative analyses for business and technology applications, recommending secure and cost-effective designs that address challenges.
  • Work Order Management: Prioritize and manage work order queues, collaborating with internal teams and vendors to ensure effective organizational support.
  • Issue Resolution: Resolve IT work orders promptly and in accordance with established standards to meet business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience with core network infrastructure, including Switching, Routing, Voice, Load Balancers, and Cloud technologies.
  • Familiarity with security technologies such as VPNs and Firewalls.
  • Basic understanding of Windows infrastructure (DNS, AD, DHCP).
  • Knowledge of virtualization concepts.
  • Understanding of physical infrastructure best practices.
  • Successful completion of Cisco CCNP certification.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cisco CCIE certification.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $64,500 to $96,500, with offers typically centered around the midpoint of $80,500. Higher compensation within the range is reserved for individuals demonstrating strong performance and expertise.
