Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Grill Cook to join our team at Roaming Pizzeria Ltd. as a key member of our culinary operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating special events, managing kitchen operations, and supervising kitchen staff and helpers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Coordination: Co-ordinate special events, including determining the size of food portions and costs, requisitioning food and kitchen supplies, and preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
  • Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas, train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, order supplies and equipment, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
  • Food Service: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, serve food or snacks, and organize buffets and banquets.
  • Security and Safety: Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety protocols, including a criminal record check.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work in a fast-paced environment, with physically demanding tasks, including standing for extended periods, and repetitive tasks.
  • Personal Suitability: Demonstrate a client-focused approach, flexibility, initiative, organization, teamwork, and time management skills.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
