Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to a high standard, adhering to food safety and quality control procedures.
- Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure they are clean and well-maintained, and take corrective action as necessary.
- Staff Training and Development: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and provide guidance and support to ensure they are able to perform their duties effectively.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and order supplies and equipment as needed.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean kitchen and work areas, and maintain equipment and facilities to ensure they are in good working order.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a kitchen or food service environment.
- Language: English.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with a focus on providing high-quality food and excellent customer service. The work environment is physically demanding, with a high level of activity and attention to detail required.
