Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Clinical Research Assistant II to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for patient recruitment, data collection, and data entry for various clinical research trials under the direction of Scientists, Research Coordinators, and the Research Program Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data collection and data entry
  • Screening, recruitment, enrolment, and follow-up of study participants
  • Close communication with surgeons, principal investigators, and other members of the research team
  • Research ethics board submissions
  • Assistance with manuscript and abstract submissions
  • Assistance with the grant submission process
  • Liaising with various TOH departments, REB/contracts office, sponsors, and external collaborators

Requirements:

  • Secondary school diploma
  • 2 years of prior research experience
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Strong computer skills: MS Word, Outlook, and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a health-related field
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting
  • Bilingual (English and French)
  • Knowledge of orthopaedics
