Produce Operations Supervisor

We are seeking a highly organized and reliable Produce Department Supervisor to join our team at Freshco Coliseum 8968. As a key member of our produce team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our produce department, ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality products and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a team of produce staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to provide excellent customer service and maintain a high level of product quality.
- Merchandise Management: Order and receive merchandise, authorize returns, and maintain accurate inventory levels to ensure that our customers have access to a wide range of fresh produce.
- Scheduling and Workload Management: Establish work schedules and manage workload to ensure that our produce department is running efficiently and effectively.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions and drive growth.
- Customer Service and Conflict Resolution: Resolve customer complaints and issues in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service.
- Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory levels to ensure that our customers have access to a wide range of fresh produce.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of our produce staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are able to perform their duties effectively.
- Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance reviews to ensure that our produce staff are meeting their performance goals and providing excellent customer service.
- Physical Demands: The Produce Department Supervisor will be required to stand for extended periods, walk, and handle heavy loads.
- Organizational Skills: The successful candidate will be highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Reliability: The Produce Department Supervisor must be reliable and able to maintain a high level of productivity.
- Team Player: The successful candidate will be a team player, able to work effectively with our produce staff and other departments to achieve our business goals.
- Excellent Communication Skills: The Produce Department Supervisor will be required to communicate effectively with our customers, produce staff, and other departments to ensure that our customers receive the highest level of service.
- Accessibility Training: The successful candidate will be required to provide awareness training to our produce staff to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
- Inclusive Recruitment: The Produce Department Supervisor will be responsible for applying accessible and inclusive recruitment policies that accommodate persons with disabilities.
- Newcomer and Refugee Support: The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster.
- Youth Support: The Produce Department Supervisor will be required to provide awareness training to our produce staff to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
- Veteran Support: The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting Veterans and other candidates with military experience through targeted hiring initiatives.
- Indigenous Support: The Produce Department Supervisor will be responsible for facilitating access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
- Mature Worker Support: The successful candidate will be responsible for applying hiring policies that discourage age discrimination.
- Visible Minority Support: The Produce Department Supervisor will be responsible for applying hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities.
