Produce Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Produce Department Supervisor to join our team at Freshco. As a key member of our produce team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our produce department, ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality products and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and Train Staff: Supervise and train staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties efficiently.
- Assign Duties: Assign sales workers to duties, ensuring that tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Hire and Train: Hire and train new staff members, or arrange for training to be provided, to ensure that they are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
- Establish Work Schedules: Establish work schedules for staff members, ensuring that adequate coverage is provided at all times.
- Prepare Reports: Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters, providing valuable insights to management.
- Resolve Issues: Resolve issues that may arise, including customer complaints, supply shortages, and other operational challenges.
- Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory levels, ensuring that stock is accurately recorded and that products are rotated regularly.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the activities of workers, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple tasks and responsibilities to manage.
- Heavy Lifting: Lift heavy loads, up to 50 pounds, on a regular basis.
- Attention to Detail: Maintain attention to detail, ensuring that tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Physical Demands: Combine sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday, with regular breaks to rest and recharge.
- Interpersonal Skills: Possess efficient interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff, customers, and management.
- Reliability: Demonstrate reliability, with a strong commitment to attendance and punctuality.
- Team Player: Work collaboratively as a team player, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive work environment.
