Job Summary:

The Research Coordinator (II) is responsible for applying specialized knowledge to initiate, implement, manage, and coordinate moderate to large research projects.

Purpose and Key Functions:

  • Apply specialized knowledge of Indigenous research methodologies and best practices.
  • Apply scientific principles to review, critically appraise, and interpret published literature and research findings.
  • Conduct comprehensive literature searches and reviews.
  • Lead and collaborate on the development of research proposals, grants, and abstracts.
  • Ensure that research methodology is applied and all research material is handled in accordance with established protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop and deliver presentations and training sessions to project personnel and stakeholders.
  • Present research findings at meetings, seminars, and conferences.
  • Design and implement promotional strategies to encourage participation and support for research projects.
  • Support the development and delivery of webinars focused on Indigenous research and knowledge management.
  • Coordinate the development of research projects and ensure timely completion.
  • Develop and manage research project budgets and financial reports.
  • Maintain ongoing and clear communication with supervisor and project leads.
  • Provide lead hand supervision and guidance to research staff.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study and 5 years of relevant experience.
