Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Clinician to join our team at BioScript Solutions. As an Infusion Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing top-notch patient care services in a dynamic and patient-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and administer specialized IV and injection therapies to patients.
- Receive and review physician's orders to ensure accurate and timely care.
- Perform patient assessments to identify and address individual needs.
- Initiate IV lines and perform phlebotomy as required.
- Provide patient education and support on medication management and self-injection techniques.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and satisfaction.
- Participate in ongoing internal and external continuing education activities to stay up-to-date on best practices.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of recent acute care experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing and current registration in good standing with the provincial licensing body.
- Training and experience in the preparation and administration of medications via all routes.
- Excellent intravenous skills and experience with CVADs are highly valued.
- Current BCLS certification and ability to read and interpret technical instructions related to client care.
- Experience in biologics/infusions is considered an asset.
