Job Summary

The Nurse Clinician will work as a pivotal member of a multidisciplinary team to coordinate and provide clinical management to patients with complex health issues. This role requires advanced skills and knowledge, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and provide clinical management to patients with complex health issues
  • Act as a resource person to other healthcare professionals and the community
  • Utilize advanced skills and knowledge to perform at a high level of independence as a clinical practitioner, leader, consultant, and educator
  • Support families in Manitoba, Northwestern Ontario, Nunavut, and Saskatchewan as required
Requirements
  • Minimum three years of Neonatal or Pediatric Intensive Care experience
  • Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program
  • Current registration or eligibility for registration with College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM)
  • Active participation in professional associations, such as Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM)
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements
Preferred Qualifications
  • Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA)
  • Proficient with computers, software programs, and applications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Preference will be given to those applicants competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions, and values
  • Commitment to care through a family-centered nursing approach
  • Advanced clinical knowledge in subspecialty
  • Commitment to maintaining current knowledge in area of expertise
Physical Requirements
  • Moderate to heavy physical effort required
  • May be required to work flexible hours
  • Occasional travel to community agencies, patient homes, and/or other healthcare institutions
