Family Lawyer with Civil Litigation Expertise

Position OverviewFamily Lawyer/Civil Litigation
Key Responsibilities- Independently manage family law and civil litigation files, handling a wide range of matters including separation agreements, spousal maintenance, and asset division.
- Conduct hearings, discoveries, mediations, and trials, instructing support staff and receiving instructions from clients.
- Draft pleadings and speak to chamber applications, negotiating at mediations and appearing at trials.
- Manage all aspects of a file from beginning to end, with experience in general civil litigation being an asset.
- One to three years of current experience in British Columbia family law and/or civil litigation practice.
- Ability to handle challenging work and manage files independently, with strong judgment, work ethic, and interpersonal skills.
- Desire to become part of the community served and enthusiasm for growing practice and working towards partnership.
- Base salary: $70,000 – $90,000, depending on the year of call and experience.
