About the Department

The Department of Electrical, Computer and Software Engineering at Ontario Tech University is committed to excellence and innovation in interdisciplinary teaching and research. We offer a range of undergraduate and graduate programs in Electrical and Software Engineering, including Honours undergraduate degrees and Master's and PhD programs.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct active and innovative research programs in software engineering, including software development and management, software quality & security, machine learning, or other emerging fields.
  • Teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, including courses in software engineering, computer science, and electrical engineering.
  • Develop and maintain a strong research program, including publishing research papers and securing external funding.
  • Contribute to the development of new programs and courses in software engineering and related fields.
  • Participate in departmental and university service, including committee work and outreach activities.
Requirements
  • PhD in Software Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong academic background and research experience in software engineering.
  • Excellent teaching and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong potential for outstanding teaching contributions.
