About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent to join our team at PCL Constructors Canada Inc.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Supervise and direct project teams, including direct and indirect reports, to ensure that project objectives are met.
  • Ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are followed, and that a safe working environment is maintained.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure that project requirements are met.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, and develop strategies to overcome obstacles and challenges.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure that project objectives are met.
Requirements
  • Journeyman certificate or undergraduate degree in a related discipline.
  • NCSO designation required (IND); enrollment in the Gold Seal program (CDN) preferred.
  • 5 years of progressive experience in field supervision.
  • Proven track record of successfully supervising construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction industry and company operations, including building materials, construction specifications, and methods and procedures.
  • Ability to apply basic engineering principles and embed solutions in construction plans and schedules.
  • Proficient understanding of and ability to apply logic to the schedule to build a plan using scheduling software.
