RhynoCare is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Nurse Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional nursing care to our residents in a variety of long-term and acute care facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver High-Quality Nursing Care: Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident's plan of care.
- Assess and Evaluate Resident Needs: Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s).
- Ensure Smooth Resident Transfers and Discharges: Ensure that resident transfers and discharges are timely and safe.
- Manage Medications and Supplies: Ensure the supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, and ensure protocols are followed on all assigned shifts.
- Develop and Implement Care Plans: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of the residents.
- Education: Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent.
- Registration and Certification: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses and current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong written and verbal English communication skills, and the ability to deal with others in an effective, compassionate, and supportive manner.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of the Long Term Care Act, Program Standards for Long Term Care, and other pertinent Federal, Provincial, and Municipal Statutes that influence the operation of the Nursing Home and more specifically the nursing department.
- Clearance and Screening: Medical Clearance (including but not limited to TB tests), Vulnerable Sector Police Check and/or Adult Abuse Registry Check, and Clear Criminal Record check.
