About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpentry Specialist to join our team at JCC Construction. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in all aspects of carpentry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure, Cut, and Assemble Materials: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to ensure precise fit and finish.
  • Build and Install Structures: Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to meet project specifications.
  • Install Finishing Touches: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to complete the construction process.
  • Work at Heights: Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
Work Environment

You will be working in a fast-paced construction environment with varying weather conditions. You must be able to work in a team setting and be willing to relocate to different job sites.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Work Site Environment: Ability to work at heights, in noisy, dusty, and wet/damp conditions.
  • Work Setting: Experience working in construction, with the ability to relocate to various locations.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, and handle heavy loads.
  • Transportation: Own transportation is required.
