Position Summary:

We are seeking skilled Class 1 Operators to join our team. This role involves the proficient operation of various Class 1 vehicles, specifically in the water and sewer sector. Candidates should possess mechanical aptitude and the physical capability to work in diverse weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate water and sewer vehicles while adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Maintain physical fitness to perform tasks effectively in all weather conditions.
  • Complete daily documentation, including logbooks and customer work orders.
  • Follow directives from Dispatch or Supervisors for assigned tasks.
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of assigned vehicles to uphold company standards.
  • Participate in daily safety meetings and comply with corporate safety regulations.
  • Utilize and maintain all tools and equipment according to established procedures.
  • Stay current with all required training and certifications.
  • Adhere to TDG and WHMIS regulations.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for improvement in operations.
  • Deliver customer-focused service in all interactions.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class 1 driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience operating manual transmission vehicles.
  • Prior experience in water and sewer operations is preferred.
  • Mine driving experience is advantageous.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • OSSABSO/CSO and CSTS certifications are required.
  • Additional certifications in relevant safety and operational standards are considered an asset.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment evaluations, including drug and alcohol screening, is mandatory.
