Our operations are centered in Fort McKay, where we provide a variety of hauling services including vacuum, water, waste, fuel, and flatbed services to both industrial and commercial clients.

Position Summary:

We are seeking skilled Class 1 Operators to join our team. This role requires the safe operation of various Class 1 vehicles, with a focus on water and sewer services. Ideal candidates will have a strong mechanical aptitude and the physical capability to work in diverse weather conditions. Preference will be given to those with prior experience in the industrial sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate water and sewer vehicles.
  • Perform tasks in all weather conditions.
  • Be available for night shifts.
  • Complete daily documentation including logbooks and work orders.
  • Follow directives from Dispatch or Supervisors.
  • Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of assigned vehicles.
  • Participate in daily safety meetings and adhere to safety regulations.
  • Utilize and maintain all company tools and equipment to required standards.
  • Keep training certifications up to date.
  • Comply with TDG and WHMIS regulations.
  • Seek opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Deliver customer-focused service in all tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class 1 driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience operating up to 18-speed manual Class 1 vehicles.
  • Previous experience in water and sewer operations is preferred.
  • Mine driving experience is an asset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • OSSAS (or BSO/CSO) and CSTS certifications.
  • Certifications in Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Daily Trip Inspections, Provincial Hours of Service for Alberta, Weights and Dimensions, Cargo Securement for flatbeds, WHMIS, and H2S Alive are considered assets.
  • Must successfully complete a driver's evaluation, drug and alcohol screening, and fit-for-duty assessment.
