Job Summary:

Birch Mountain Enterprises LP is seeking an experienced Class 1 Operator to join our team. As a Class 1 Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of heavy equipment, including semi-vac, combo-vac, water, and vacuum units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
  • Complete daily documentation, including logbooks and customer work orders.
  • Follow instructions from dispatch or supervisors and complete tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to company standards.
  • Attend daily safety meetings and adhere to corporate and site safety regulations.
  • Ensure all training is up-to-date and follow all relevant standards and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Valid Class 1 driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience operating manual Class 1 equipment.
  • Previous experience operating semi-vac, water, vacuum, and hydro units, as well as fluid transfer equipment.
  • Mine drive experience is an asset.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • OSSA (or BSO/CSO) and CSTS certification.
  • Certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Daily Trip Inspections, Provincial Hours of Service for Alberta, Weights and Dimensions, Cargo Securement for flatbeds, WHMIS, and H2S Alive.
