Job Summary:

Birch Mountain Enterprises LP is seeking an experienced Class 1 Operator to join our team. As a Class 1 Operator, you will be responsible for the safe operation of various types of Class 1 units, including water and sewer equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate water and sewer equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform daily documentation, including logbooks, customer work orders, and risk assessments.
  • Follow instructions from dispatch or supervisors.
  • Complete daily housekeeping of assigned equipment.
  • Attend daily toolbox and safety meetings.
  • Maintain and operate all company tools and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with TDG and WHMIS regulations.
  • Provide customer-focused services.

Requirements:

  • Valid Class 1 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience operating Class 1 equipment, including manual transmission experience.
  • Previous experience operating water and sewer equipment.
  • Mine drive experience is an asset.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • OSSA (or BSO/CSO) and CSTS certification.
  • Certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Daily Trip Inspections, Provincial Hours of Service for Alberta, Weights and Dimensions, Cargo Securement for flatbeds, WHMIS, and H2S Alive is considered an asset.
  • Must pass BME driver's evaluation, D&A, and fit for duty pre-employment screening.
