Clinical Nutrition Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Dietitian to join our Renal Clinic team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive nutrition care to renal clients, working collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct nutritional assessments, goal setting, and interventions for inpatients, outpatients, residents, and community care clients.
- Collaborate with the renal department healthcare team and act as a resource to other healthcare professionals and the community.
- Develop and implement evidence-based clinical nutrition practice related to renal care.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Baccalaureate degree in Nutritional Science with a Major in Food and Nutrition from an accredited University.
- Completion of a dietetic internship recognized by Dietitians of Canada and The College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia.
- Current registration with The College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia.
- Two years of clinical nutrition experience, including one year working with renal clients in a healthcare environment, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training suitable to the facility or program.
- Valid BC driver's license for positions requiring travel.
