We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our Outpatient Clinical Dietitian-Diabetes Education Clinic team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our team, you will provide diabetes nutrition counseling to referred outpatients and instruct them on nutritional requirements, food planning, and preparation for diabetes management.
Key Responsibilities- Provide diabetes nutrition counseling to outpatients and their families
- Instruct on nutritional requirements, food planning, and preparation for diabetes management
- Maintain liaison with medical, nursing, and other healthcare workers concerning nutritional requirements and clinical diabetes meal plan regimes
- Collaborate with the Diabetes Nurse Educator to develop and implement diabetes education programs
- Bachelor's degree in dietetics or nutrition from a recognized university
- Completion of a dietetic internship recognized by the Dietitians of Canada and the British Columbia Dietitians and Nutritionists Association
- Current registration with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia
- Member of the Diabetes Educator Section of the Canadian Diabetes Association
- Recent related experience in diabetes education, including counseling, education, and group facilitation
