Project Director - High-rise Construction

Michael Page International Canada Limited is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead high-rise construction projects in Ottawa. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of multiple projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed satisfactorily and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage high-value ($150 Million+) high-rise project sites
  • Monitor project performance, schedule, costs, equipment, manpower, materials, safety, and environment
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with project teams, trade contractors, architects, consultants, and clients
  • Coordinate total construction effort to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule
  • Conduct site tours, safety inspections, and lead by example to ensure policies, procedures, and standards are adhered to
  • Ensure comprehensive project close-out
  • Mentor, coach, supervise, and assess performance of direct reports and team members
  • Assist in securing new work by participating in estimates, working with sub-contractors, and participating in proposals and presentations
  • Lead negotiation of claims and disputes with the owner and sub-trades
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in engineering or construction management
  • 8+ years relevant mid/high-rise project management experience
  • Experience managing high-value projects ($100 Million+)
  • Project management of at least two full cycle, high-value, high-rise builds
  • Familiarity with construction project management software programs, Jonas Premier, Plan Grid, Blue Beam
  • Knowledge of relevant construction law and building codes
  • Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
About the Company:

Michael Page International Canada Limited is a major high-rise focused General Contractor with an excellent reputation and a presence across Eastern Ontario. We offer a basic salary of up to $200,000 depending upon experience, along with an annual bonus and comprehensive company benefits including health/dental, etc.
