Job Title: Flooring Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Flooring Specialist to join our team at The Excel Group, Inc. as a key member of our installation and repair team.

Job Summary:

The Flooring Specialist will be responsible for installing and repairing various types of flooring, including resilient flooring, hard surface coverings, and other materials. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered
  • Prepare flooring plans and scheduling
  • Measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
  • Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations
  • Prepare floors for installations
  • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
  • Commercial, industrial, institutional, residential, and urban area work settings
  • Ability to work in various locations and handle heavy loads
  • Physically demanding work conditions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
