Flooring Installation Specialist

The Excel Group, Inc. is seeking a skilled Flooring Installation Specialist to join our team. As a Flooring Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for inspecting, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered, preparing flooring plans and scheduling, and installing resilient floor coverings. You will also conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations, prepare floors for installations, and remove existing floor coverings and contaminants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered
  • Prepare flooring plans and scheduling
  • Measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
  • Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations
  • Prepare floors for installations
  • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants

Our ideal candidate will have 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in the field and a strong understanding of flooring installation principles. If you are a team player with excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach, we encourage you to apply.

Work Environment: Our team works in a variety of settings, including commercial, industrial, institutional, residential, and urban areas. You will be required to work at various locations and handle heavy loads, bend, crouch, and kneel.

Requirements: A secondary (high) school graduation certificate and a strong ability to distinguish between colors are required. You must also be physically demanding and have efficient interpersonal skills.
